Community picnic on the church lawn

Event details

Stay after the contemporary service for food, games, and conversation outdoors. We will open the lawn as soon as Mass concludes, and volunteers will help you find a table, set up chairs, and connect with neighbors you may not have met yet.

Tables, drinks, and a few main dishes will be provided by the hospitality team. If you are able, please bring a simple side, salad, or dessert to share. Labeling dishes with allergens helps families with dietary needs feel at ease.

All ages are welcome. Lawn games for children will run near the parish hall, and a quieter seating area will be available for elders and anyone who prefers a calmer corner. Restrooms and drinking water will remain open throughout the afternoon.

This picnic is a chance to celebrate parish life beyond the sanctuary: new families, longtime members, and visitors alike. Come as you are, stay as long as you like, and leave knowing you belong at St. Mary's.

If you can help with setup or cleanup, a short shift sign-up sheet will be available at the welcome desk after Mass. Rain plan: we will move indoors to the parish hall and continue the gathering without interruption.
