Candlelight evening prayer service

Event details

Join us for a quiet candlelit liturgy as we remember the faithful who have gone before us. Scripture, prayer, and soft congregational singing will guide the evening in the sanctuary.

We will read names submitted by the congregation and pray for those who mourn. You may submit a name to be remembered through the church office by October 30. Printed lists will be available near the entrance for private prayer before and after the service.

The service lasts about 45 minutes and is open to the whole community: parishioners, neighbors, and visitors alike. Children are welcome; ushers can help families find seating near the back if needed.

Please arrive a few minutes early so candles can be lit and the sanctuary can settle into silence. Photography and phone use are kindly discouraged during the liturgy so everyone may pray without distraction.

After the final blessing, clergy will remain available near the side aisle for brief pastoral conversation. Light refreshments will be offered in the narthex for those who wish to stay a little longer.
